Description: A block paradigm mapping the processing of sentences contrasted between a passive and active condition. Visual stimulus of a picture is presented along with an audio of either an active or passive sentence that may or may not match the picture. The subject is asked to judge whether the picture matches the sentence via a button push during each presentation. As a control task simple word picture matching is also performed. The paradigm is presented in twelve 37.5 sec. blocks, alternating between word/picture matching and sentence/picture matching. Each block has five stimuli, 7.5 sec. each, including .5 sec. of trial delay. This results in 450 sec. of scanning and 225 volumes at a TR of 2 sec. Behavioral data is used for additional analysis.
